Glee Review #24: "Sexy" (Season 2, Episode 5)

This had to be one of Glee's most criticized episodes. Was it too racy for a show that's on at eight o'clock that some children watch? Maybe.

*SPOILER ALERT*

"Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)" was a little much. But Holly's statement at the end of the song did make you think, but do you think it made anyone think about it that much? "Animal" was good vocally but hilarious otherwise! I don't know about you but I don't consider guys with bubbles and beach balls as sex symbols... oh and Kurt's faces! "Kiss" was interesting... Like I said I'm not a huge fan of this Will-Holly relationship. "Landslide" was amazing! Just purely great. I died the minute I heard the first chords of "Afternoon Delight"! I don't know about you but whenever I hear that song I automatically think of the movie Anchorman with Will Ferrel! It was hysterical and I love Emma's innocence.

When the episode started off with Brittany's scare of a pregnancy I was scared myself. Throwing another pregnancy into this show would've turned me off a lot. It makes me think of Secret Life of the American Teenager and I can't stand that show. But I'm glad it was just another classic Brittany joke scenario. The scene between Kurt's dad, Burt and Blaine was great. I understood where Burt was coming from but I didn't think Blaine was overstepping. He's a really good friend to Kurt. Santana's 'new' love for Brittany, well I just hope that Glee can keep writing that scenario well. I don't think the whole concept of it is crazy but I just hope they keep talking about it throughout the season because Santana was really distraught over it and for it to only be the subject of one episode would be stupid. I think her desire for Brittany makes a lot of sense, but Brittany just doesn't make sense in general so I don't know how she'll deal with it. And how does Artie not know of any of this?!

My questions:
1.) Where are Tina, Mercedes and Mike?!
It seems that Glee only focuses on Puck, Lauren, Quinn, Rachel, Finn, Kurt, Santana and Brittany now. Even Sam has been pushed to the side! But honestly where is Mercedes of all! Has she had an episode about her this whole season?!
2.) How will this Santana/Brittany relationship end?
Obviously Santana has a lot of thinking to do. She just assumed that Brittany would be with her because she told Brittany she loved her. But Brittany is so very lost. I'm really curious to see how this all plays out.
3.) Is this the last we'll see of Holly?
The ratings must shoot up when Gwyneth Paltrow came on the show. But after how this episode has been recepted do you think she'll be back on for a third time?

I'm excited for "Misery" and "Blackbird" and of course Rachel's original song (which I'm guessing is "Hell to the No"?). Glee Review #23: "Blame It On The Alcohol" (Season 2, Episode 4)

Oh what a lovely dysfunctional episode!

*SPOILER ALERT* (I've given it about two weeks that should be enough!)

"Don't You Want Me" was too funny! Yeah yeah, I don't in any way shape or form advocate getting piss drunk like Blaine and Rachel but you have to love their performance of this! They're still amazing even wasted! "Blame It" was great as well. Everything that Artie does (especially covering Jamiee Foxx!) is amazing. "One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer" was too funny. I love the Bieste and the relationship she has with Will! But will she stop bringing up that one kiss?! "Tik Tok" was great when everyone in the gymnasium was singing along!

So crazy drunken parties = lots of drama. It's no surprise even that went down did!

My questions:

1.) Is Rachel really serious about this "original glee song"?

I think everyone was on the edge of their seats when Rachel said she had written some of the song. "Headband" was hilarious and I loved Finn's reaction but will she end up writing a hit?

2.) Do you think the glee club will really not drink as much?

After the promise they made to Will, do you think drinking will come again as a plot problem or has this show had enough of drunk dialing mishaps?

3.) Why was Rachel wearing that dress?

Okay, bad and extremely random question I know but I couldn't help but blog about it. Did anyone notice that almost sleeping gown dress Rachel was wearing at her party?! I keep cracking up because not once did she take it off.

I'm not sure if I'm going to like next episode. I LOVED Gwyneth Paltrow when she was once on Glee. It was by far one of my favorite episodes but now her coming back might not be as great, like Grease 2 y'know? And I really don't like the idea of her and Will having a fling. Must he get with every girl on this show?!

Glee Review #22: "Comeback" (Season 2, Episode 3)

What a great episode! I love how Glee is a show that focuses on things happening now, like how startlingly huge Justin Bieber has become!

*SPOILER ALERT*

With his performance of "Baby" Chord Overstreet has proved that he can make anything absolutely adorable. "Somebody to Love" was HILARIOUS. I can't get over the wig that Puck wore. "Take Me or Leave Me" was great! I know a lot of Gleeks have been waiting for Rent's debut on the show and this 'diva-off' that ending with smiles between Rachel and Mercedes was an awesome was to incorporate it. "This Little Light of Mine" was super sweet and shows that Glee can cover any genre of music and make it work! "I Know What Boys Like" was hilarious as well, I'm still not sure what to make of it but go Lauren! "Sing" was amazing and the funny thing is I heard the song for the first time a couple hours before watching Glee!! (And the outfits- especially Sue's!- were great!)

Santana is getting on my nerves. Can she quit it for once?! Now she's with Sam? This doesn't make sense whatsoever. I really wanted Sam to be the good guy of the bunch. The one who doesn't give into Santana or cheating or whatever, just drama I guess. But now I'll be Team Mike Chang for the next couple of episodes? Because the Sam/Santana thing isn't bound to last long!

1.) Is Rachel really going to write a song for Regionals?
I was really surprised to hear that Rachel thought New Directions should perform an original song at the competition. I'm anxious to hear what the show comes up with because it has to be amazing to win the hearts of the gleeks and the Regionals judges!
2.) Why did Sam agree to go out with Santana?
I honestly think Sam is just going out with Santana to prove to Quinn that he can get girls whenever he wants. I also think he wants to fit in. After all, he is still relatively new to McKinley and in a way hooking up with Santana is like an initiation process!
3.) Is it a given that New Directions will win Regionals?
After the disappointing loss last year, isn't it text book that New Directions will bring home the trophy come this time around? It makes sense but you never know with Glee!

Glee Review #21: "Silly Love Song" (Season 2, Episode 2)

Oh, Valentine's day. Gotta love Glee's holiday episodes.

*SPOILER ALERT* Get yourself to fox.com!

"Fat Bottomed Girls" was... interesting. I just think that Puck's love for Lauren is too weird. I understand it but I do think that the writers just wanted to throw in another crazy relationship. "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)" was so great! I love Mike Chang and Artie, especially together. Too cute. "When I Get You Alone" was so great, the Warblers are AMAZING. "My Funny Valentine" was... interesting as well! I think Tina's crying should've been more drawn out or come at the end because I wanted to hear more! But I understand why they included it. "Firework" was great, Rachel never disappoints. "Silly Love Songs" was my favorite of the night!!!


I still can't wrap my head around all the Sam/Quinn/Finn/Rachel drama but you can't avoid these sort of things in TV shows! I loved Finn's gift to Rachel (the star necklace), it was perfect. I loved the Lonely Heart club at the end of this episode!


My questions...
1.) When will Kurt and Mercedes be happy?
Not to say that the two aren't happy being single but when will they finally have a solid relationship? Kurt has had his flings -with both sexes- but never has Mercedes been in a relationship or have we seen any of her love life whatsoever! Don't leave her out people!
2.) Will Quinn keep seeing Finn?
Like Quinn said, last time she cheated it got her pregnant! So will she keep this thing with Finn going? I personally think Quinn won't because deep down is the old God-fearing girl we remember from season 1!
3.) Does Rachel's hair change every season?
I know this is random, but as I was watching the episode I was thinking about the different hairstyles Lea Michele has donned as Rachel Berry on Glee. It seems like we can never been happy with just one! Haha, will she do something drastic next season? Like Puck's 'mohawk'?

Glee Review #20: "The Sue Sylvester Suffle" (Season 2, Episode 10)

Welcome back Glee! Yes, yes, yes, this review is late I know so watch my blog just be bombarded with backed up Glee reviews this week! Hopefully you're a fan. As always...

*SPOILER ALERT* (It's been a week or so, I'd think you would have watched it by now!)

"California Gurls" was a hilarious way to start the show! The things Sue comes up with... "Need You Now" was really good. Puck + that guitar = always a great song! "She's Not There" was a good surprise. I didn't know the club was performing any other songs in almost full zombie mode but the last number. "Bills, Bills, Bills" was AMAZING. I think I'm in love with the Warblers as much as I'm in love with New Directions. Is that bad? Finally, "Thriller"/"Heads Will Roll" was an amazing mashup as expected. Who comes up we these mashups?! They deserve tons of recognition.

Since this episode was aimed at drawing in new viewers, there wasn't too much drama going on. The only scandalous thing worth writing about is Finn's kiss with Quinn. I mean, come on! Make up your mind kid. That goes for the both of you. This leads me to my questions...

1.) Will Quinn and Finn become an item again?

It's hard to keep track of all the hook-ups on Glee and these two seem to be the start of them all. When will all this confusing drama finally come a close?! I honestly don't see a good relationship in these two, so I'm hoping Quinn does break it of with Sam but not for Finn. Just to save Sam from her uncertainty.

2.) Is this the end of the glee club vs. the football team?

This little experiment seemed to really work, at times. Will this finally end the bitter tension between these two groups once and for all? Or just have things simmer down for a while?

3.) Is Quinn, Santana, and Brittany's quit from the cheerios permanent?

The girls seemed pretty happy to relieve themselves of Sue's tight grip on their lives, but we all know too well how these things go. Is it only a matter of time before they get sucked back into pom poms and protein shakes?

Glee Review #19: "A Very Glee Christmas" (Season 2, Episode 9)

Christmas and Glee one of my two favorite things!

*SPOILER ALERT*

"We Need a Little Christmas" was GREAT but I really wish we heard more of it! "Merry Christmas Darling" was a typical Rachel ballad, I miss our old sweet Rachel! Why must there also be some dramatic song of hers? Half the time I'll fall asleep during them. "Baby It's Cold Outside" was completely adorable and perfect in every way. "Last Christmas" was extremely appropriate. I hope Rachel finally moves on, because she's making it even worse for her and Finn to have any kind of professional relationship!


There wasn't much drama in this episode except for the inevitable Rachel and Finn situation, besides that though the only things I could think of to write about was Bieste's talk, as Santa, with Brittany. Hearing her talk about her childhood made me tear up! In the end when Artie got his ability to walk, it was crazy! What a miracle I didn't expect! Finn's persistance to keep the holiday spirit was really endearing and Sue's "Grinch" escapade was hiiiilarious!

A couple quick questions....
1.) Will Artie's artifical whatevers..! effect the show at all?
Will this prevent or help Artie from performing with the glee club? I'm wondering how much of a change his life will be, and if this will strengthen his relationship with Brittany. I STILL find it odd they're a couple, it's just one of those things I will never get over!
2.) When will Kurt and Blaine go out?!
Why is it taking so long for these two to get together, it seems like they both are very forward people and I'm shocked nothing has happened yet. In this episode didn't Kurt admit to Will that he liked Blaine?! Why the holdup?!
3.) Any Cheerios news in the coming episode?
Last season we caught a huge look into Sue's cheerleading centered world, even Mercedes and Kurt were part of it at a time! It seems that besides the uniforms in every episode, Sue's track suit and Becky's assistance we haven't seen much drama between the cheerleaders in a while.

Question for you Gleeks: Was this our season finale?! I'm so confused, I didn't hear any promotion saying it was but it must be because the next episode (at least on certain websites) will air after the Super Bowl on February 6th. It's the most expensive post-superbowl TV episode yet and will feature the songs "Thriller" and "Bills, Bills, Bills". Huh. I can't believe I didn't know this!

Glee Review #18: "Special Education" (Episode 9, Season 2)

Oh my, how many times in my life will Glee make me cry?!

*SPOILER ALERT* Make sure you've watched the episode!

"Don't Cry For Me Argentina" was amazing. A great song to start off the show with! "Hey Sould Sister" was so great also, but seeing Kurt keep all his talent to himself in the background was so upsetting to watch. "The Time of My Life" was super cute, and brought us all back to the Rachel Finn moment that they had last time they performed a duet. Really showed us how far we've come! "Valerie" was perfect! I love Santana's songs. "Dog Days Are Over" = OHMIGOD. Perfect. Way to wrap up an episode! I love Mercedes and Tina together.



Wow, all the drama in this episode! First off, we were right. Finn and Rachel are over for now. In a rollercoaster of emotions and songs the constant on and off couple who seemed stabel for a while now are done. Is it really final though? If I had to sum up this epsiode it'd be lost. Everyone was. Kurt was lost in his new school, Will was lost because (What the hell?!) Emma got... married?! I think Emma was a little lost there too... Rachel and Finn were lost dealing with their relationship troubles, and the whole team was falling apart! It was so upsetting. But hopefully with some Christmas spirit next week the glee club will get their act together again, they have no choice!



My questions for you...
1.) Will there be new characters soon?
It seems like no one can stay single for long on this show, and with Finn and Rachel's breakup will they introduce new love interests or actually give the show a dose of reality and keep them alone for a bit? I think Mercedes deserves a boyfriend next if anyone!
2.) What?! A new recruit?!
With Kurt's absence Puck was asked to find a new glee club member. Their latest recruit, well I just want to punch her in the face! Hopefully they'll find a better substitute because no one joins the glee club and helps them at sectionals to say it's stupid and sucks! Find someone better, please.
3.) Is this whole Emma thing serious?
Our once germaphobic reserved little Emma is now running off to Vegas with some dentist and getting hitched?! Something seems fishy...

Glee Review #17: "Furt" (Episode 8, Season 2)

What a great episode this week?! Glee, I just can't get enough of it!

*SPOILER ALERT* (It's been a week Gleeks, get to it!)

So first off I'd like to say that looking back at some old posts, I've been wrong on always one song the cast was going to perform in next weeks episode! "Jai Ho" was really far off, and I'm sorry! I'm still going to post songs I know of, and I apoligize if they're wrong. "Ohio" was sweet, what you'd expect. "Marry You" was AMAZING I've heard this song only once before, and now I love it even more. My lone year old sister even clapped when they were done with it! Another Bruno Mars rendition was "Just The Way You Are" which really summed everything up perfectly.

Drama, drama, drama. Well first I would like to commend Glee for really showing what bullying is like and making it a focal point of their show. Bullying based on sexuality is HUGE and I hope it's changed some people's views. I'm glad Kurt finally told more people about the harassment that was taking place, and I swear to you this guy on my bus looks just like Karofsky and when I saw him early in the morning and shiver went down my spine!

My questions...

1. Kurt is leaving?!

So after being introduced to the Warblers for a couple episodes now I realize it should be no shock to you that Kurt is leaving, but really? Now I can't believe it! I mean I never would've thought his parents would spend their honeymoon fund on the tuition. Isn't that like giving into Karofsky? Granted he has no one to hurt anymore but isn't that like giving up in a way? Let me know what you think...

2. Hopefully all the Kurt-Finn drama is gone now...?

It finally looks like these to are the perfect pair of brothers after Finn's performance of "Just The Way You Are" I'm really happy things worked out so no more drama with these two Fox!

3. Should we be expecting some Santana-Rachel-Finn fireworks?

Santana has nothing better to do than stirr up some drama when things are working out just fine. Out of the blue she reminds Finn about them having sex and how he had to lie to Rachel about it. We all know this will crush Rachel and I think we all know Santana doesn't give! So the only question is when and how? (And how/when Rachel and Finn will get back together... cause they obviously will! ☺)

World of Jenks and The Buried life MASSIVE review!

Ready for an intense World of Jenks and The Buried Life review covering three episodes? YES. Alright, let's go!

In this episode, titled "Me and My Surfboard", Andrew rooms with pro surfer Anastasia and learns not only the basics of surfing, but the pressures it brings and what keeps Anastasia going. I've always wanted to surf so bad so on an instructional perspective this was very eye-opening! Otherwise it was another satisfactory episode that only really revealed the vulnerable side of Anastasia that no one got to see. I would have to say the high point of the episode is this picture right here! ;D While I love all of Jenks' work this one wasn't my favorite but I still enjoyed it!

Dares are always interesting, but it's always hard for me to come up with good ones. So major props to the girl who dared The Buried Life team to steal a lock of RPatz's hair! This dare was completely insane, I was laughing and on my edge the whole time. In the end the guys were successful in getting one single strand of Twilight Saga 's lead actor Robert Pattinson's hair. If this show doesn't show you that anything is possible, I don't know what will! While 3/4 of the guys search for 'Edward's' lovely locks, Ben heads to Minnesota to meet Lexi, a young woman whose goal is to create a forum for people to discuss the pitfalls of depression - something she and Ben have both suffered from. Not only did Ben help create a safe haven where Lexi and others can share their feelings but he helped her achieve a huge scholarship to the college she's been trying to get into for a while.

In "Hail Mary" Jenks spent a week with Jessi, a former contestant that made it big on So You Think You Can Dance who is now a Tennesse Titan's cheerleader, trying out again for her homestate's team. Me, well just being me! I've always had this really judgemental preconception of all cheerleaders, wheter cheering on the field of some small town high school or at the big leagues. Not to say that Jenks shattered my whole view of cheerleading as a sport, but he definitely showed me that the glitter didn't mark their whole life. It also showed how much heart and soul the girls put into their career/passion/sport; and that there truly is a dark side to all the glitz and glam we see in Hollywood, and that it's hard to stay focused on your dream once you're so close.

There's many shows on TV that showcase a person alone in the wilderness surviving on the smallest amount of commodities. Many people doubt the truth in Man Vs. Wild for example, and some may say that what The Buried Life did with this episode is staged also, but it seems to me like the guys truly did escape off a deserted island. Jonnie being sick and Duncan killing a bird was real enough for me. This was one of their most life risking and specific items to cross off, but after finding a fishing boat miles off the island's coast the TBL boys left the island save, sound, and sunburned. This episode really showed how primitive we are when stripped of everything. So many people would think of killing a bird with a rock 'barbaric' but when placed in a situation like this, there's no telling what could happen and how you'll react!

Before watching this episode of World of Jenks I was vaguely familiar with V.V. Brown. I knew of her song "Shark In The Water" after it was used in a commercial for the TV show Degrassi but besides that I knew not much else about this British songstress. While documenting their time together Andrew really showed just how hard it is to make it in America as an up in coming artist. V.V.'s whole life was dedicated to promoting herself and her music. She only had a couple days off and year and had to leave all her family back home in England. She knows she could fail and she could never make it in America, but it's a chance she's willing to take. I really liked this episode, I never knew how much effort goes into something like this and I hope V.V.'s dream comes true!!

In this episode Dave takes a try at a MMA professional fighter. I really liked this episode because it shows how Dave really progressed in only

a minimal amount of training after deciding to go through with this list item. In the end after breaking his thumb in the fight, Dave technically lost but not being bias or anything he totally won! He was on top of that guy from the start. In this episode Duncan also helps a girl who wants to talk a motorcycle ride along the coast and spread her dad's ashes on the beach. This was something he had always wanted to do with her but never got the chance. I thought it was a very sweet thing but I didn't understand why The Buried Life guys needed to help her. Was it because she needed motorcycles? Not to say it's bad to document the experience just because it was so nice but I thought they're supposed to help people achieve their dreams and this one seemed pretty solid.

Glee Review #16: "The Substitute" (Episode 7, Season 2)

Wow! What an episode, exactly what I was craving.

*SPOILER ALERT* get yourself over to fox.com!

While all the songs were equally great, the one I'm listening to right at this moment on YouTube is "Forget You". It already made number one on iTunes! It was so funny because I just heard this song for the first time a week or two ago while watching MTV Hits and I think the Glee version was even better. It was simply fantastic. "Make 'Em Laugh" was really cute, and Rachel and Holly's version of "Nowadays/Hot Honey Rag" was great. It was good to see Rachel thoroughly enjoying a performance! "Singin' in the Rain/Umbrella" was just as I expected: amazing!

Drama this episode was left to the ever relentless Terri "Schuester?", and the lovable Kurt. Let's just go right to the questions because they have to deal with all this drama that went on...

1.) Is Terri FINALLY gone?!
Seeing her pop up when Will bought the Lamborghini, and in other awkward situations gave the show a comical twist, but her perpetual attempts to win him back have long ago become too tedious. I hope her last conversation with Will was the last straw, because it sure seemed like it. Then again you never know with Terri... Oh and also wasn't it great to see Will talk to a normal girl in his house without it resulting in a one night stand? Kudos.
2.) Is Kurt's "friend" going to last long also?
How many more episodes is this Neanderthal going to keep confusing our Kurt? After the threat he made to Kurt at the end of the episode, it seems things are coming to a final boiling point... I hope. I don't want to see Kurt hurt! Also, do you think he will tell someone about the threat? Ironically, we just learned about these kind of things during an assembly in school and our guidance department stressed the fact of telling people of anything that could possibly harm someone. So, do you think Kurt will? Or is this not serious at all?
3.) Is Kurt going out with Blaine?
After he gave Mercedes a speech about her "finding the one" it just muddled up reality even more: Is Kurt seeing Blaine or not?!

Will sees this when he turns around to face his class after being too sick.

Glee Review #15: "Never Been Kissed" (Episode 6, Season 2)

Let's hear it for Kurt this season! So many ups and downs I can only wonder what happens next.

*SPOILER ALERT* It's been a week but make sure you've watched it!

The showstopper of this week HAD to be "Teenage Dream" a chorus of guys covering Katy Perry's latest number one hit? Yep, there's magic in that. It sounded GREAT and I know so many people downloaded right after nine o'clock hit. When I heard the first beat of "One Love" I was thinking, oh God here we go! But It was surprisingly good and somewhat humorous. "Living on a Prayer/Start Me Up" was a really cool mashup but I thought the girl would've been better. The guy's number at the end was sweet but nothing crazy good either.

Drama, drama, drama... I don't know about you but I wasn't that shocked with Kurt's first real kiss. You had to sorta suspect it. What I think shocked everyone else though was how Kurt didn't fall for Blaine right away! What was with that? The other thing I found odd was Quinn's talk with Coach Sylvester. Why would she want to tell Sue about her makeout moment with Sam? It seemed really weird. I understand Quinn and Sue are close but I wouldn't see Sue as someone you go and get advice from! And finally, the whole Bieste situation. Such a crazy ending and I was glad she got a happy one.

My three questions...
1.) Will Sue finally be done with harassing Coach Bieste?
I think Bieste's been through enough by now, and the fact that she stayed at McKinley after almost leaving should've been enough for Sue to wave a white flag. Sometimes her antics are funny but at this point they're going to become annoying.
2.) How will Kurt and Blaine's relationship pan out?
I hope either Kurt keeps in good touch with Blaine or there's more than just friendship for these two. The only reason I couldn't imagine Kurt falling for Blaine is maybe he's tired of looking for love and at this point just needs someone who can relate to him and understand him. Someone he can always go to.
3.) Do you think Glee represents high schools everywhere well?
I can't help but think as I'm watching any show that involves a school, wait my school isn't like that! My school doesn't have tubs athletes can soak in after long practices like Sam and Finn had, my school doesn't have huge locker rooms with their own weight room and showers, and my school doesn't have a large outdoor campus area like the one the glee club performed "Empire State of Mind" in. And other high schools I've been to aren't like that either! I'm just wondering what you all think of it....

Glee Review #14: "The Rocky Horror Glee Show" (Episode 5, Season 2)

Another great themed Glee episode to add to the surely growing list!

C'mon guys, it's been over two weeks! But anyways... *SPOILER ALERT*

How can you not rock out to RHPS tunes? They were all delivered amazily well, my favorite having to be "Dammit Janet". I don't care what you say- I love it! "Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch-a, Touch Me" was sort of wierd with Brittany and Santana but I know they had to get those back up vocals in there... overall that song was just a bit wierd! "Sweet Transvestite" was so cool, I did not know how Mercedes would pan out as Dr. Frank-N-Furter but boy did she work it.

With all the musical commotion it left little room for big drama, except for the big Emma/Will/Carl love triangle. You have to love a good love triangle! It's so funny to see Will really trying for Emma's love because in the past she's just fallen so easily for him!

My three points of pondering...
1.) How long will Emma and Carl last?
With Will's perpetuals interference and John Stamo's character still considered a "guest" will Emma and her new dental dreamy last through the end of the season? It seems fans won't stop until they get a happy ending for Emma and Will and the fights over her can only last so long...
2.) Will Glee forever consist of themed episodes?
So far we've had Lady Gaga, Britney, Madonna, Rocky Horror, what's next? I love these episode but only once in a while I have to admit. I feel like there's one every other week! I like seeing the glee clubbers in their own element with creative scripting not a memorized pop culture routine.
3.) Is Sam really that conceited?
I don't know about you, but I was shocked that Sam Evans the newsest glee club addition, was as body image obsessive as he turned out to be. He didn't seem like that type of guy! Will it pose problems in the future or was this only a one episode deal?

World of Jenks: "Road Warrior" The Buried Life: "Capture A Fugitive"

I've never been to Warped Tour before. I've heard stories from my friends, and always liked some of the acts but I never felt a strong desire to go. Now, though not only is it on my bucket list. But I really hope to get to experience from Sierra's point of view. Jenks lived with Sierra, leader singer of rock band VersaEmerge to find out what it's really like to be on the road. I thought the episode was really good, (as usual!) but nothing major. Jenks did, as always, uncover something you might not of expected from rough and tough Sierra on first meeting her, proving that everyone in the end has a breaking point. I loved seeing how Sierra was truly living her dream, and the funny attempts Andrew made at singing. But in the end I guess none of the episode will hold a candle to "Freedom's Flight!". At the end of the half hour I basically sat back and smiled and thought how cool it would be if I got to live Sierra's life.

These guys never cease to create such suspenseful episodes. They were so many moments I thought they were going to die! In this week's episode the guys set out to capture a fugitive. After rigorous training and a couple failed handcuffing attempts, The Buried Life team set out to cross of #25 on their list. After days of compiling information on where they could catch their fugitive they finally got a great lead and found him. After all the suspense became the weirdest twist of fate: the guy actually cooperated with them! Maybe it was the cameras that changed this multiple time escapee or maybe it was the boys charming demeanor (haha). Well, whatever it was the guys got him without a scratch. I LOVED the dream that the guys helped happen also. Aspiring band Venus Infers contacted the guys and explained to them that they've been trying to get a record deal for a while now but after a line of misshaps and bad luck they were unsuccessful. So after hearing the group's great sound they install a tracking system onto the car of a high end record producer who will be their big break in the industry. After cornering him in a restaurant the guys set up the band just a door away and they convince the label producer to check them out. After a surprisingly smooth set the bigwig himself gives the guys a great approval and he immediately knows a bunch of labels who would sign them!

World of Jenks: "Freedom's Flight" The Buried Life: "Ask Out The Girl of Your Dreams (Part II)"

Best episodes by far for both shows. If you haven't seen them GO NOW!

(sorry this review is two weeks late, my computer and TV have both been having problems)

This week Andrew lives the life of Brogan a young Miami Beach native who is extremely passionate about stopping illegal horse slaughter farms in the south Florida area. I've never watched something so eye-opening in my life. Right when Jenks got to Brogan's hometown she had him ducking in disguise in front of a slaughter farm on the outskirts of Miami. Every day she and Jenks put their lives on the line in order to protect the lives of the horses. Though she understood the severity of her actions Brogan never hesitated when approaching the farm owners or shooting her gun. She did everything and anything to secure the lives of the helpless animals.

You really can't understand all Brogan puts out there until you watch the episode for yourself. There's a price on her head for her actions and people she's affiliated with from the horse slaughter farms. Her boyfriend's identity had to be kept a secret while Jenks filmed to ensure his own safety. Brogan however didn't change any of the information that's shown on World of Jenks in an effort to really expose the truth of what she does. She realizes that life is short so you either put your all into something or it's not worth it. If she dies trying to save the horses than so be it. It's better than dying in some car accident or random act of violence.

Brogan's whole lifestyle was so inspirational, the problem is what do I do with all that inspiration? I've always wanted to get involved and Brogan does more than that. Her life is now the lives of the horses she saves, she's not just passing out pamphlets like Andrew assumed when he first decided on this story. All this work she does for the ASA is voluntary. She struggles to have ends meet just like any other person. Some may think she is revered and rewarded for her heroic actions but on some occasions it is the exact opposite. Brogan is a real hero and role model for everyone. I hope to find ways to follow in her actions.

The Buried Life this week was just as enjoyable. The boys set out on their second try of #59: Ask out the girl of your dreams. Ben's attempt to ask out Megan Fox last year was so close and now they've decided to try it again but this time giving Duncan a whack at it. He has had his eyes on pop country star (one of my favorites!) Taylor Swift ever since their brief meeting in an airport. Duncan fell for her down-to-earth attitude and sweet demeanor so the boys (minus Ben who was helping out someone pursue their own dreams) devised a plan to have the moment between Duncan and Taylor at the CMT awards in Nashville Tennessee this past summer. The guys made their first stop at a thrift store to pick out disguises they would use to transform their trio into Boone McCaw, up and coming country sensation, Pipe Wilson, his manager, and Padagonia the eccentric backup bass player. With the hilarious outfits, great voices and sweet ending the episode was amazing.

Since the guys needed to spend so much time on coming up with a plan to get to Taylor Swift, they couldn't show a lengthy clip about the dream of a random stranger they were helping to achieve. So for a brief minute or two before a commercial there was a segment about Jonnie's quest to help an older man find his lost love, Joyce Hook. In a way that resembled this year's blockbuster Letters to Juliet the Buried Life team was trying to get any leads on where Australian native Joyce Hook might be now, and how they could find her. Glee Review #13: "Duets" (Episode 4, Season 2)

A simple, sweet, and saucy episode of Glee may not have satisfied many viewers this week, but I for one was happy with it. You can't always have an amazing episode!

*SPOILER ALERT*

Music, music, music. I always love glee club competitions. They make for great collaborations and edgy songs. "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" was simple, cute, and all around great. "River Deep - Mountain High" was super fun and upbeat, Santana was really getting into it! "Le Jazz Hot" was astounding. Kurt always has some amazing routine up his sleeve that is sure to leave you wanting more, he's constantly changing it up. "Lucky" was adorable, but I was surprised that the song I was most excited for wasn't as great as "Sing!". "Sing!" was the show-stopper of the night in my opinion, I LOVED IT. Rachel and Kurt's collab at the end of the episode was super cute, but what's with Rachel's histrionic faces lately? Get over it!

So, drama started off fast. Point blank: No Puck?! I'm curious to where our favorite bad boy has gone- in the script that is. Sam and Quinn was really a surprise too. I thought Kurt was supposed to fall in love with Sam! Very confusing...

Three important points...

1.) Is Puck written out of the show?!

At the beginning of the season there were many rumors that someone was going to be written out of the show due to budget cuts. But with Puck being in the first three episode already, could it have been him? I know they lost a member already (whoops, forgot his name!) but some sources say that Puck or Artie were both considered as characters not needed anymore. Not true! I miss Puck.

2.) Where's Kurt's boyfriend??

So I told you all before that Sam was casted as Kurt's boyfriend, and in the beginning of the episode it does seem like he's "playing for Kurt's team", but then as the episode progresses it turns out that Sam has the hots for Quinn... ?! I want Kurt to fall in love! I want him to be happy and joyful, and not to feel lonely anymore. So I hope this thing with Quinn is nothing but a fling.

3.) Do you think Glee approaches Brittany's sex life wrong?

Brittany's flings with every guy and girl in the school makes for some funny one liners, but do you think they're starting to over exaggerate it? I never in a million years would've guessed that Artie had sex with Brittany. He obviously cared so much about his virginity but he throws it away just like that? It was all very confusing... I mean wasn't it obvious to him that Brittany had no real feelings for him?? Or was he just too lonely without Tina? I just didn't like that part at all.

• The Santana and Brittany scene was stupid. (Except I loved seeing her room)
• I thought it was so funny how everyone wanted Sam to win

World of Jenks: "The Takeover" The Buried Life: "Get Married in Vegas"

So, this week's MTV episode of World of Jenks and The Buried Life both had one thing in common: VEGAS. Parties, pokers, penguins (!) the whole sha-bang.

Uncovering the real truth again, is Andrew Jenks. This week he rooms with a young pro poker player, Nick Schulman who at the age of 21 was the youngest person to win the World Poker Series. I don't know about you, but I don't know a thing about poker or the lifestyle of its professionals besides the fact that this game is played with cards... So thank you Andrew Jenks for making an episode that I watch with a clean slate! This episode surprised me in a few different ways. First off, I never realized how addicted someone could become to betting/gambling/playing poker. Nick never stopped playing poker, or making crazy bets with his buddies from the moment Jenks arrived to when he took his flight back to NY. It was crazy! While at the house Nick played online poker (where he won or lost real money), played Chinese poker with his friend, and bet his friend $500 for every time he threw a card into an ice bucket. After this, Nick took Jenks out for a night on the town which consisted of what seemed like endless rounds of shots, pool games motivated with money, rock paper scissor bets, and more poker! With all this money flying left and right, it was hard to keep count of what Nick was actually gaining compared to his losses. His life was so crazy and he would bet money at the drop of a hat. The thing that seemed odd though was he didn't care much about the money. He told Andrew that when he played, he thought about the units. He won x amount of units not $10,000. That was his thought process. Pretty wild...

The last thing that shook me was Nick's mental state. He was never truly happy in his time with Andrew, and hasn't been for a while. Andrew was able to capture a moment that Nick shared with his therapist and Nick felt like his poker playing was a sanctuary. That his love for the game started as a way to escape his depression. The rush of the money, and all that poker encompassed made him feel happy. But if he lost, that was it. Nick dropped out of high school because he suffered from these panic attacks and severe anxiety. It completely changed my view of how he lived, and what he went through. Living life without being really happy. I don't know how I could go on.

The Buried Life boys seemed to have a much more lively stay in the sin city, they were trying to cross of #91 "Get married in Vegas". I was excited to see how they'd compete this task, because I think it'd be pretty hard to find a girl willing to get married on the spot in only 72 hours. But, the boys pulled through. In the end Dave did tie the knot to Michelle, who he met at their hotel in Vegas while she was on duty as a lifeguard. The whole episode was great and I was so surprised how they managed to get everything worked out in the end! They pawned their bus once they found out Michelle would marry Dave because they wanted money to spend on blackjack to try to get noticed by some of the hotel bigwigs so they could get hooked up with a penthouse suite. It. Worked. Duncan and Jonnie faked their way through a game of blackjack and ended up with $5,000 and a free suite for a night. After stirring up conversation with a man next to them, he pulled one guys over that worked for the hotel and let them work out a comp with the boys for a suite. It was unbelievable! The suite had a bowling alley, huge rooms, a hot tub, everything! I don't know how they did it. So after throwing a huge party for Dave and his bride to be complete with fire-breathers, flashy cars, Jonnie decked out in a penguin suit, and a bubble bath fight, they went to the chapel to say their vows. Though I was still shocked at the end of the episode that the really went through with it, Dave and Michelle are still going strong. I don't know what to make of this, and I guess I really don't have to make something of this. But I feel like I always have an opinion or an inclination about something. I think marriage is a sacred thing like Dave's mother says, but why not? Why not have some crazy fling? Ah, I don't know. I mean you fall in love so many times in your life. People whose spouses die find new lovers, does that mean their first marriage wasn't meant to be? If everyone can move on in their lives will we ever really know who is the one for us?

In this episode the guys help Rick, a man living under the streets of the Vegas strip in the sewers, find his way back to his daughter who now has her own daughter that he hasn't seen in years and years. At first I was shocked to hear of Rick's lifestyle, and that many others live the same way. Living under the sewers of Vegas is not only unsanitary, scary, and just like living on the streets but you have the added danger of being washed out of your 'home' at any given time. There was one time, Rick says, when he wasn't sure if he would make it out. It makes me really appreciate the life I have. After a long road trip the boys find their way to Rick's daughter's house in Missouri. I teared when I saw him standing at her door with a bouquet of flowers and a stuffed animal. It made me so happy that the guys were able to put this together for Rick and his family.

Glee Review #12: "Grilled Cheesus" (Episode 3, Season 2)

I'M SO SORRY I'VE BEEN BEHIND, I WAS BUSY WITH SCHOOL ELECTIONS AND WAS AWAY THIS COLOMBUS WEEKEND WITHOUT COMPUTER ACCESS!

This episode did not in anyway disappoint, while some thought it was too sad I felt it was amazing! The storylines were so heartfelt and endearing, and you really saw the glee club come together in the end.

*SPOILER ALERT* (By now you should've watched it though!)

It's a proven fact that any guy with a guitar is automatically swoon worthy, and the fact that Puck did a Billy Joel song made it even better. I LOVED "Only The Good Die Young", the whole club got into it and it was all great. "Papa Can You Hear Me".... well it proves that the writer's go to length to fit Rachel Berry in for a solo. It was great, but took a while to set in and was a bit overwhelming. As an avid Beatles fan I love the song "I Want To Hold Your Hand". I think it's one of the best love songs. But after "Grilled Cheesus" I will never look at it the same. The point of view that Kurt had while singing this song, did a total 180 from what we were use to with this classic ballad. It blew my mind. The other song I was most looking forward to, "Losing My Religion", did not disappoint at all. Finn delivered it beautifully and I loved every second. Seeing Mercedes sing "Bride Over Troubled Water" was great, I loved Kurt's hat in that scene!

Besides the obvious fact that Kurt's dad was sick in this episode, not much other drama came into play. I thought the whole fiasco with Burt Hummel was written well, and the only other side note I made was about Finn's wish to become quarterback again. While I'm glad he's back in the glorified position, as he should, I was shocked at how it came to him! But as you see, Sam will be returning next episode (tonight AH!) and I'm super stoked for that.

My questions... (hard to come up with!)
1.) Since Sam is injured in the football game, will he get a different storyline?
If you don't religiously and intently listen to the last minute after the credits roll, you'll see in the preview for next week's episode that, yes, Sam is back, and has his eyes on a certain head cheerleader...
2.) Will Burt's recovery pull together or strain Finn and Kurt's relationship?
Dealing with his dad's condition was hard for Kurt especially when he realized just how badly Finn was affected by it too. Now that Burt is all well again will Kurt push past things aside, and just be happy for his dad or will things stay the same?
3.) When will the love triangle of Artie, Mike, and Tina reach a boiling point?
Next week, I know there is some action between these three, but will this issue finally be resolved?! I'm excited for Mike's first solo. Whoohoo!

(Quick mention!) I thought Finn's wish to touch Rachel's boobs, as weird as it might have come off to others, was sweet in a way. The writers didn't come up with some other desire for Finn, they really gave him one that any other teenage boy would have! Some people thought it was awkward, but I applaud them for writing something realistic like that and not doing it in a too provocative way.

Glee Review #11: "Britney Britney" (Episode 2, Season 2)

This music/dance packed episode did not disappoint! With extremely lowkey drama, and some new mild characters, this Brittany Spears themed installment was nothing but fun.

As always... *SPOILER ALERT*

The first song being "Slave 4 U" was amazing. I'm so glad Heather Morris finally got to show off her amazing dance moves. Did you know she toured with Beyonce and has been in several music videos?! This girl has got talent, and I'm happy she was finally able to really and truly showcase it during this episode. Even though it was wierd seeing our awkward and out there Brit dancing sexy and in control, I think it was about time she had the spotlight! But, in "Me Against The Music" Brittany shared that spotlight for a bit with Santana, which made the song even greater! Seeing Rachel singing "... Baby One More Time" was a flashback to her Grease costume for me. It's always wierd seeing Rachel take on a sexier role, but everyone seems to be busting loose this episode! "Stronger" was SO good. I was wondering where the guys were the whole episode, and then BAM there they are! It was a really cool way of seeing how Britney Spears' music effected everyone. I'm not a big fan of their performances that don't really happen (like how these were all just anesteshia fantasys) but it worked out good. When I first saw that "The Only Exception" was going to be sung, I thought it would sound wierd and take away from all the Spears tunes. But it fit in perfectly and the montage during Rachel's performance nearly made me cry. It was so cute!

Drama was kept lowkey this episode except for Emma's new love interest played by John Stamos and the usual Finn and Rachel dramatics. ☺

My questions...

1.) How long will John Stamos appear for on Glee?

Again, I couldn't find a solid answer to this question but I'm sure John Stamos will keep showing up in the next few episodes! I like the idea of Emma finally getting a healthy romance, but I think I'm going to miss her and Will's perfect love..... hm....

2.) Does Terri's short but random apperance this episode mean we will be seeing more of her?

After the divorce, things seemed pretty final between Will and Terri and I thought we'd never see her lying little face again. But her out of the blue apperance while Will was having a moment with Emma, confused me a bit. Will Terri keep showing up here and there? I think it's sort of odd but if the writer's worked it in well, it could be interesting.

3.) When will Mercedes, Kurt, Puck, and Quinn get their big break this season?!

So far we've had songs from Artie, Finn, Rachel, Brittany and Santana. Even Mike and Tina have their own big storyline! But where's our other beloved characters besides singing backup?! I know Kurt is supposed to play a big part next episode so hopefully these parts will be getting more equal soon!
